Winter tyres as standard
From November 1st to April 15th, all Alpine vehicles are fitted with certified winter tyres (M+S rated). French regulations require winter equipment on mountain roads — we are always compliant.
Snow chains carried
All Alpine vehicles carry approved snow chains at all times during the winter season. When conditions require, chains are fitted — your journey continues without disruption or delay.
Mountain-experienced drivers

We provide meet & greet at Geneva Airport for all arrivals — your driver monitors your flight and is positioned at the arrivals hall with a name board as you exit. The Swiss toll vignette and any French motorway tolls are included in your fixed transfer price.
Paris to the Alps — Overnight Transfer Option
For clients wishing to maximise ski time, we offer an overnight transfer service from Paris. Departing at 22:00–23:00 from central Paris, your vehicle reaches Chamonix or Megève by 05:00–06:00 — in time for the lifts opening. This is particularly popular for long-weekend ski trips where losing a day to travel is not acceptable.
For overnight transfers, we operate a two-driver relay system — ensuring legal compliance with European driving hour regulations and uninterrupted, safe driving throughout the night. You sleep in the vehicle; your drivers manage the entire journey.
What to Expect on Your Alpine Transfer

🌨️ Weather delays: Mountain road closures due to avalanche risk or heavy snowfall are rare but do occur. Your driver monitors conditions and will advise on any necessary route or timing adjustment.
📅 Peak season booking: Christmas week, New Year, and February school holidays are extremely busy. We recommend booking Alpine transfers at least 4–6 weeks in advance during peak periods.
🔄 Return transfers: Book your return at the same time as your outward journey. Return transfers booked together receive a preferential combined rate.
Alps Transfer — FAQ
For Chamonix, Megève, Morzine, and the Portes du Soleil resorts, Geneva is significantly better — it is closer and your transfer takes 1 to 1h30. For Courchevel, Méribel, Val d’Isère, and the Tarentaise Valley resorts, Geneva and Lyon are roughly comparable. For Les Deux Alpes and Alpe d’Huez, Grenoble or Lyon are preferable. We advise on the best airport for your specific resort at the time of booking.
Yes. Full ski bags up to 190 cm, boot bags, helmet bags, and poles are all carried in the boot. For groups with significant ski equipment, the Mercedes V-Class is the right vehicle — it accommodates up to 8 passengers with their complete ski gear without compromise. Ski racks are available on request as an alternative to boot storage.
Your driver monitors road conditions throughout the journey and communicates with resort authorities. In the rare case of a temporary road closure, your driver identifies the best alternative route or holding point and keeps you fully informed. Snow chains are always on board and fitted immediately when conditions require — we do not wait to be told.
Yes. Inter-resort transfers — Courchevel to Megève, Chamonix to Verbier, Val d’Isère to Geneva — are available at fixed rates. We also provide same-day transfers for clients who wish to ski one resort in the morning and transfer to another for the afternoon or evening. Contact us with your requirements for a bespoke quote.
Yes. For clients who visit the Alps multiple times during the season, or who require regular weekly transfers throughout the ski season, we offer a season account with preferential rates, priority fleet allocation, and a dedicated contact. Many of our regular Alpine clients book their full season programme in October — contact us before the season begins for the best rates and availability.
Yes. For all transfers that pass through Switzerland — including Geneva Airport departures and routes to Swiss resorts such as Verbier, Zermatt access, and Crans-Montana — the Swiss motorway vignette and all applicable toll fees are included in your fixed transfer price. No additional costs arise at the Swiss border.
